yea we all know Brennan wont hit the field once the season begins but I think he sowed up that 3rd string spot. Zorn loves this kid and what he did in that one quarter of garbage time was pretty good.
i think the main thing to take from this is that OUR current head coach's last QB is in the NFL. 3rd string or not, that's an accomplishment when you consider how many QB's actually make it to that level of play. Remember, Tony Romo was a 3rd string QB at one point.
June's teams at Hawaii have put quite a few players into the NFL, and I hope that he brings that to SMU.

Well, he sort of sent Bartel to the NFL by letting him go play somewhere else...I'm sure if he would have stayed here he would've ridden the bench the whole time.

ok lets get past this credit by mere association, he sent no QB's who ever were recruited by him or played 4 years under him

My point exactly. I would bet had both of them stayed at SMU neither of them would have made it to the NFL.
