Was it working before? Didn't say I want Metallica, but if the decision has been made to change from Peruna, all I'm saying is country won't pump anyone up either

Play Peruna vs. tcu as the players enter, and I would dare say the reaction will be as loud as anything you will hear all game.

Not to mention that TCU fans really hate Peruna.

Well said PK, Smoooboy & EastStang!
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Update: I sent this thread link and letter to no less than 10 higher-ups in the athletic dept. a week ago and have yet to even receive a form letter. Does feedback matter to these people?

Also, just got this:
I know Monica Contreras just sent you a note which thanked you for your comments. I also wanted to say that we have taken feedback and continue to evaluate the SMU game presentation for football games. Please watch for what we consider to be giant improvements over previous years but also very respectful of incredible SMU traditions that serve as the backbone of that very presentation.
I am sorry nobody from our office has responded to your correspondence previously as we do pride ourselves in satisfactory customer service.
Thanks and Go Mustangs,

Yikes! that sounds like we are going to be living down that "Pony Up!" song over here in the town of the cow for a while.
Thanks for the response, Jeff. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! don't do that to us Fort Worth alums. Put that song in the drawer for one week and brink it back out against Tulsa or Memphis. They aren't nearby and we don't care about them anyway. But for all that is dignified and holy, don't embarrass us in front of our biggest rival.
Go RED! Go BLUE! Go MUSTANGS! S-M-U!!

I hate that "customer service" analogy. We are dedicated fans and alums...not "customers"!
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
