with 4 non-conference games each season, we can't play TCU, Baylor and UNT every year, but I like rotating Baylor and UNT so we always have TCU and one of the other two. I'd also like to rotate Navy/Army but we should continue scheduling any Big XII and SEC schools that will give us home & home deals. The problem is that those schools don't need to schedule us and are likely to only consider "2 for 1" deals in the future. They can pack their stadiums with games against FCS schools or against non-BCS schools looking for a paycheck, so why give a home & home to the likes of SMU?

We have a pretty attractive non-conference football schedule considering where the program is today. Let's just hope we can build both football and bball programs that people will pay to watch. That would make scheduling non-conference games a lot easier, but the financial reality is that "cupcakes" may never go away. I just want to get to a point where we are no longer everyone else's cupcake.

How does it benefit us to play UNT? They don't bring any more fans than any other spare Texas school - I think the attendance was 19,000 at Ford when we played them last year. It is a no win situation - if we win it is because we should and no one care, if we lose we are the joke of the Metroplex and it sets us back another 5 years.

We must have had "a hella big" travel bill when we went to play Navy.....and we will be lucky to have a half empty stadium when they come back to Dallas to play us. When TCU beats Virginia next year, that's another win against a BCS team - we have beaten one team from a BCS conference since Ford Stadium opened. Our administration should have the aspirations for our program to be just like what they are running over at TCU.
