Doesn't have a grasp of reality when it comes to the alignment within college football. Get rid of the BCS-BS & those schools, including SMU would get more blue chips Blue chips like winning & going to "national" championships. Why go to a school that will never be allowed to take part in the mythical national championship???
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Or a program that has only had two "non-losing" seasons in almost 20 years.......................
You really don't think that now that we have basically decided to do the same thing that TCU has done for years that SMU can't possibly hope to compete with TCU? Or for that matter any non-BCS school. Tulsa? UTEP? Tulane? Rice? Best football facility in CUSA West and a Top Coach with a national reputation? We need to give our Coaches time to build their programs-4-5 years of solid recruiting, not 2 before we try to run them off- but I don't see any reason SMU can't accomplish much of what TCU has done-I don't see any reason SMU can't be the dominant non-BCS program at least in this part of the country. Quite frankly we need to reestablish the DFW Metroplex recruiting pipeline-the rest will take care of itself.
