Bowl Swag Comparison

Postby DiamondM » Thu Dec 10, 2009 1:36 pm

I guess they think getting to go to Hawaii is a gift in itself (even though the bowl sponsors don't pay for it). Seriously, the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl is so hard up that all it can come up with is a Hawaiian shirt. The St. Petersburg, New Orleans, Little Caesar's, EagleBank, Roady's Humanitarian, International, and Armed Forces Bowls all seemed to be able to scrounge up some electronics.

I'll spare you the viewtopic:ponyfans.com/xxxxx post, so that I can say 1 shirt + 1 visit with the bowl hostesses=not bad

The Cotton Bowl is the only one that didn't disclose the gifts. If this were let's make a deal, I would trade my aloha shirt for what's behind that door.

I mean the Cotton Bowl gift could be anything. Even an aloha shirt! You know how much I've always wanted one of those.

I've had friends play in 6 out of the last 7 cotton bowl games, and their "swag" was nothing special...

This is what each player got last year at the Hawaii Bowl.

Gift package:
? Oakley Thump 512
? Oakley Thump Charger Set
? Oakley Thump Soft Vault Case
? Oakley Icon 2.0 Backpack
? Official Bowl Watch
? Aloha Shirt
? Sheraton Hawaii Bowl Beach Towel
? Sheraton Hawaii Bowl T-Shirt
? Mini Helmet
? Luggage Tags
? Hawaii Bowl Calendar

A gift total of $500 for each of 125 members of each school is allowed by the NCAA. This can be supplied by the Bowl Sponsor.

The school can also kick in up to $350 per team member to get to the $500 level.

It is Hawaii. Reward enough!?

Go Ponies!
