Matt Szymanski

Postby PonyPride » Thu Jul 01, 2010 10:47 am

When the SMU football team convened Tuesday for its optional conditioning workout, the players split into groups of about six to run sprints. Senior-to-be kicker/punter Matt Szymanski often finished at the front of his group — a fact he wanted publicized on PonyFans.com! So yes, Matt Szymanski is fast — maybe it's because, like a lot of kickers, he used to play soccer. (Of course, if he really has to show off his wheels, doesn't that mean he's chasing a returner who has gotten through most of his teammates?) He's definitely a hell of a lot faster than I ever was, and I kicked in high school. Does that count for anything?

That was in the previous playbook... right next to the swinging gate.

Exactly what I was thinking!

Personally, I don't ever want to have to see how fast our kicker is.

It's been quite awhile since I have had an opportunity to drive one of those :( , but that would probably do the trick, especially going downhill.
