BTW, game was played on 9/12. Story was in 9/15 paper. If you're going to publish it, why not publish it in the issue that came out on 9/13?

They don't publish on Mondays.

They do this year. http://www.smudailycampus.com/pdf-archi ... ember-2010

Ah. Well...just lame. I need to talk to them. The adviser usually brings in alums to talk to the staff anyway. I can turn mine into a 2-hour session on proofreading, fact-checking and copy editing.

Even if this is an extracurricular activity, it would be like showing up at a raging kegger with a six pack on wine coolers if your extra curricular activity is binge drinking. Unacceptable and show some flipping effort.

Unless this is from a secret new female 3-star wide receiver June has picked up, it shouldn't be acceptable in a freshman admission essay, much less a published work, student paper or not.

thank you.

my high school news paper was vetted more thoroughly than the DC is.

Not to appear too ancient, but in my SMU day the Daily Campus was an excellent student paper. To become an editor was quite an achievement. The current effort is just sad.
