hmmm.......I wonder if players who are used to being yelled at and spit on (with the yelling) have trouble getting motivated in other ways?
just a random thought.

KU lost their start QB and most of their starting wr's. I wouldn't judge him to much by his first year. Plus there still might be some division on the team. I think he will do fine.

Coach Gill (who started his coaching career at SMU) will be fine when he fully implements his system and has players he recruits to fit his system. In a year or two, he'll be spanking Baylor High, just like everyone else in the Not-Very-Big 12.

Ususally you get 3 years, but this performance on top of the loss to North Dakota State, I think he has to make a bowl game next year or they will fire him.

There is ZERO talent left on that team, but with a new Athletic Director, an unstable conference situation, and fans who think they should be making regular BCS appearances now, he needs results immediately. He needs to get down to Texas and promise every recruit he can find that they will start right away. How that team ever beat Georgia Tech is beyond me.

the way the season is going, I'm guessing he'll have a few places to choose from.
