What is the latest on Pats?

Postby Pony_Fan » Mon Oct 18, 2010 9:59 pm

So, SMU is going to be w/out Pats, Smith, and Vilde?

What a joke in terms of depth. We have zero

unless the NCAA has cleared them in the last 5 days or so, none are eligible. Pats isn't even allowed to practice.

What's going on with this? In the ESPN article (on another thread), Doh says something like he expects Smith to be a freshman starter. They also talk about Pats like he is going to be playing. No mention of Vilde though.

I recommend Rivals

I know what Rivals says, my question is what's with the conflicting info?

Yahoo just isn't up to date, nor is Street & Smith/Athlon etc.

these publications basically call a few people in the offseason and read the SIDs prospectus to write their preseason analysis. Probably took the quote directly from prospectus. Quote could be months old. They don't actually go to each of the hundreds of schools playing basketball to visit and interview the coach in order to write the story.

You're probably right. Lazy journalism, but since when have big-outlet journalists been known to to a good job?

The bad news is that we won't have some of our major players this season and that will obviously cost us in the W-L column. The good news is that with all of these potential losses the charlatan who calls himself a BB coach should be gone and we can hire someone with the ability to build a great and winning program.

GO PONIES!!! -bring back the days of a winning program.

No way can you get rid of Doh with the class he is bringing in this year...that bought him at least 2 more years after this.

Two things:

1) Redpony is a hoops know-nothing, that hates & throws salt.
2) You guys have completely overblown this recruiting class, just b/c it has locals. Unless we sign a monster w/the 5th ship, it'll be the 4th or 5th best class in CUSA

I'm confused again. No surprise. Besides the transfers, who is playing and who is sitting? I thought Pats and Smith were playing for sure. Help...anyone.....again.....
