i think most cruise ships did away with that after Sept. 11 attacks. have to hit degradeable golf balls now too b/c of kramer.

no disrpect to OTP, but would rather fly to HNL and puddle jump to the islands but I'm sure he's having a good time. Need to make it to Kauai.

the ships that cruise exclusively in Hawaii are not very good-there are restrictions in the Jones Act concerning cruising between two US ports that require the ship be built in the US. There really is only one ship left. One was recently retired by Norweign-I think it was called the Constitution or something-the other newer one run by Norweign has chronically bad ratings usually blamed on the fact that Norweign has to abide by US employment and labor laws. This increases costs and makes it harder for them to compete with quality service. Therefore the best ships that sail to all the Hawaiian Islands are usually these 9-12 day cruises which leave out of Vancouver Canada or Ensenada Mexico not the United States. I think most experienced cruisers really don't mind the Days at Sea as long as its a good ship. Who wants to spend 5 days in Airports flying to each Island?

If you like cruise ships, great. I'd rather be lying on the beach or exploring Maui for 5 days, Lanai for 5 days, and maybe one other for a few days.

i think you either are or aren't a cruise ship type of person. both are going to try to tell the other how great their way of doing things is to try to convince them that it's the best way. but it's not going to change a thing. ever.

i'll bet you i don't. i don't like being trapped and i don't like not having control of my situation. Cruises are for people who want someone to plan their trip for them and lay it all out, and there's nothing wrong with that for those people. I am an admitted control freak.

no maybe about it.

i spend most of my fishing time in Galveston though. Riviera and Texas shouldn't really be in the same sentence though.
