is to vote Texas out.
It is the only way I see this conference surviving in the long term. Otherwise, all the remaining schools are simply waiting for the other UT shoe to drop (independence / greater LHN reach?) who knows but whatever decisions they make it will be with zero regards for any fellow B12 members and they are now wise to this.
BTW, the PAC12 people I speak to are not crazy about UT and their LHN, and who can blame them.
If A&M and OU could strike a deal, they could become the masters of this region instead of simply another fish in a bigger SEC or PAC12 ocean. Both schools stand to lose a lot of influence when they leave the Big12.
Have a South Division made up of A&M, Tech, Baylor, TCU, Houston and SMU
Have a North Division made up of OU, Ok State, KU, K-State, Mizzo and Iowa St
OU and A&M have just dramatically increased their chances of NC/BCS Bowl game participation. They would be playing the same game Texas has but without them.
I know this is a long shot, but for at least half the remaining B12 schools, I suspect it is their best option.
Take out UT now.
