I do not know the money difference between Boise remaining where they are and moving to the Big East, but I assume Big East money is greater. Given that and all the other reasons mentioned they should join the Big East. The Big UT is not going to invite them because they could actually win the conference. Look at the Sagarin rankings or any other poll for that matter - Louisville and West Va do not have strong football programs they become cannon fodder for UT, OK, & OSU and that is why they may be invited. It is also why they should decline and stay in the Big East. As far as maintaining AQ status the Big East will not have a problem with Boise in the top 10 and SMU or UH or UCF in the top 25.

TCU going to the BE in all sports by itself was far nuttier than Boise going for football only along with a handful of other schools equidistant from current MWC opponents. I'd imagine there is plenty of travel money available for Boise football and it isn't like their fans should be too accustomed to "easy" road trips within the conference. They will still be relatively in the middle of nowhere no matter where they play. If all 6 teams join, then there is nothing wrong at all for Boise, or any of the rest of us. A plane ride is a plane ride, and besides Houston and Tulsa, that's how we travel to every city now anyway.

I take a plane to travel between Houston and Dallas as well. Pretty much if your city has an semi decent airport, I'm flying. Travel for Boise football is not a big deal.

Did a quick look up of driving distance for MWC from Boise to:

Nevada = 8hrs
Wyoming = 10hrs
UNLV = 11hrs
Colorado State = 12hrs
Fresno = 13hrs
AFA = 14hrs
UNM = 16hrs
SDSU = 16hrs
Hawaii = how fast can you swim?

10hr+ car rides is better than an automatic BCS bowl and being able to schedule OOC games against closer/easier opponents instead of needing to go far and wide for attention just to hope you remain undefeated for a prayer at getting enough attention to be in a BCS bowl? Not to mention the extra money of being in the BCS.

Quick question: Which team would be harder to beat this year, Wyoming or Rutgers? How about Pitt or Nevada? How about Hawaii or UConn? We could probably jump into the BE and be at least a .500 team.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
