Had one of those blow into Dallas when I was at SMU. Had my windows down in my car and it was an inch thick in dust. I can only imagine what it would be like in Lubbock.

When I was a young kid in Amarillo, I woke up to one of these storms. Total red out for the entire day. School and everything else shut down. Storms like this do not happen very often but when they do its unbelieveable.

Like mrydel, I remember fall of '70, coming out of an afternoon swimming team workout at Perkins about 5:30p.m. Saw a haze around the street lamps as I walk to the Umphree Lee cafeteria, where I ate frosh. year. At that time we didn't wear goggles when we worked out and I just thought the chlorine had gotten my eyes that day, until I could taste the dust in my mouth. When I saw the news about Lubbock, I thought it was just the typical fart coming out of TT.

Probably the same one I am talking about. I figured it was '69 or '70.

I was in Lubbock for a weekend during the Spring of '94. It is the only place I have ever been where you can be standing outside in the middle of a field and not see the sky. It was no where near as bad as the video, but it still made me question why people would ever live there.

Hilarious, I friend who went to that S-hole and visited him during one of these storms. I cant imagine anyone ever wanting to go to a place were trees and topography are obsolete. Plus nothing to do there but drink and do drugs and play Russian roulette with the women and and their STDs.

Look at the CDC report done out there.
