They could put together awesome staff, with a lot of experience to help...

Klemm plus a legit staff would be a potent mix

Or an experienced coach who people outside of SMU know his name, who has a legit staff, with some good recruiters. More potent mix.

If AK were head coach wouldn't his recruiting become very limited? IIRC HCs can only make one home visit. Opinions welcome.

Personally I'd like to see some big-game hunting from the CoC, an internal promotion doesn't do much for me because I don't like anyone on this staff that much.

Re: Who will our next coach be?
I agree on the big game hunting. Problem is the only one available right now is Mike Stoops--who I have no problem with. Otherwise it is top coordinators--who I have no problem with either--or top coordinators from a couple years back who might have taken their first gig at a MAC school or something.
95% of the people yelling for Klemm are the same ones who won't take a coordinator and want a proven head coach, but they are willing to throw all that out the window for a guy with no experience at all. I don't get it.

Twitter reports link Laken Litman to the SMU coaching job upon hearing that Jones was out. Her agent said all the details were worked out but got derailed because SMU did not want to pay the $1.25 buyout from her position at Scout, plus the night games would keep her out past her curfew.

I'll take Morris but I like klemm better.
He is going to have 12 months were we can groom him to take over

The Klemm advocates want to keep the 2012 class together and the Cali pipeline open, other than that Klemm doesn't have much going for him. As an HC he couldn't be out there pounding the pavement as a recruiter anymore.

Re: Who will our next coach be?
There are multiple statements that players would rather have klemm as head coach...
He doesnt just have a cali pipline, they guy sells everyone, including eddie printz.
he has multiple connections to both high school, college, and nfl players and coaches...
He played for Belichek. He can take the next 12 months to be fully groomed for the postion, easy transition.
Recruits make the team, and he can bring them in bunches...
Surround him with experience, keep mason, grab OC like Kliff who runs a dynamic new offense tailored to our recruits...

Re: Who will our next coach be?
I don't know much, but Klemm plus experieced staff to back him up makes sense. However, I change my mind frequently and can be easily wowed with a big name hire!!!

Re: Who will our next coach be?
WOW, we've really got hooked on an assistant coach. Seems like no one else out there with more experience could do the same/better job. Interesting as to why no "smaller" HC jobs have no come his way or have they?
