I understand that the 6000 number came about because SMU fans from all over the country showed up. If the move to the BE pans out it will in the long run have a big positive impact on the quality of the student that enrolls at SMU. SMU teams will be getting coast to coast exposure that will cause more out of state students to apply and thus raise the overall quality of the student body and some of those students will have parents who will ultimately become donors.

very true. I came to the bowl game from DC, and met lots of ponyfans who had traveled from all over the place. It was also great to see all the SMU legends sitting with us at the Sheraton after the game. The whole thing was put on really well.

I will definitely go to our next bowl game, as long as it is not Hawaii. If you didn't get a chance this year, I would highly recommend it.

Pony up!
