Offered But Unsigned 2012 ProspectsThere are about 7, according to Scout, offered (by us and others) but unsigned prospects that have not committed to any school. Do these prospects have grade issues, are they still trying to determine what school is best for them; or, is the list incorrect? Any thoughts ?
Re: Offered But Unsigned 2012 ProspectsI would imagine if they were signable they would be signed.

Re: Offered But Unsigned 2012 ProspectsBy "signable" I assume this relates to grades; or, are there other issues that pertain to signable. Not trying to be cute, but don't understand the lingo.
Re: Offered But Unsigned 2012 ProspectsI would think it could be many things. Grades of course. Maybe lack of desire to play anymore. Maybe not getting an offer from where they want to attend and plan to walk on or just go there and be a student. Could be waiting to see where girl friend is going to college. I just meant if they were eligible and wanted to play D1 football I think they would have signed by now.

Re: Offered But Unsigned 2012 ProspectsUnderstood - thanks
Re: Offered But Unsigned 2012 Prospects3 of my relatives signed at their schools for football, basketball and baseball.
1 of the guys, who plays volleyball, still hasn't signed anywhere yet because he still has interviews at Ivy schools. He has 12 options about where he may go from the West coast to the East coast. So maybe some have something like interviews going on too. ????
Re: Offered But Unsigned 2012 ProspectsGlenn Checks is going to Air Force-they really don't sign Letters of Intent-they have to get appoointed
Dennis Smith has had a rocky road with several well publicized behavior issues "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Offered But Unsigned 2012 ProspectsIn addition to the grade issues outlined above, there are people who just haven't made up their mind where they want to go. Since normal college students haven't entirely learned what schools they got into, it is very likely some of them are waiting to learn about admissions for themselves and others.
1) As noted above, serious girlfriend wants to go to college at the same school or a nearby school. The guy could wait to see where she gets in. 2) All my friends went to A&M. While SMU was my first choice, A&M offered me a full scholarship and I seriously considered it. 3) Ivy League: people do get in off the wait list. My sister was planning to go to ND when she got into Princeton off the wait list. While she ultimately decided to go to ND, she didn't accept until after her graduation. Do unto others before they do unto you!!

Re: Offered But Unsigned 2012 ProspectsI am pretty sure that Dennis Smith is going to Blinn JC.
