Our Post-DP record against Baylor is not that good (from the 2012 SMU Media Guide):

1989 _________________ L _______________ 3-49
1990__________________ L ______________ 17-52
1991 _________________ L _______________ 7-45
1992__________________ L _______________ 7-49
1993 _________________ L ______________ 12-31
1994__________________ L ______________ 10-44
1995 _________________ L _______________ 7-48
2003__________________ L _______________ 7-10
2005 _________________ L ______________ 23-28

Here is TCU:
1989__________________ L ______________ 10-28
1990 _________________ L ______________ 21-42
1991__________________ L ______________ 10-18
1992 _________________W _______________ 21-9
1993 __________________W ______________ 21-15
1994 _________________ L ______________ 14-35
1995__________________ L ______________ 16-19
1996 _________________W ______________ 27-24
1997__________________ L ______________ 18-21
1998 _________________W _______________ 10-6
1999__________________ L _______________ 0-21
2000 _________________ L _______________ 7-62
2001 _________________ L ______________ 10-38
2002__________________ L _______________ 6-17
2003 _________________ L ______________ 13-20
2004__________________ L _______________ 0-44
2005 _________________W ______________ 21-10
2007__________________ L _______________ 7-21
2008 _________________ L _______________ 7-48
2009__________________ L ______________ 14-39
2010 _________________ L ______________ 24-41
2011 ________________W (OT) ___________ 40-33

And T-a&m:
1989__________________ L ______________ 14-63
1990 _________________ L ______________ 17-38
1991__________________ L _______________ 6-65
1992 _________________ L _______________ 7-41
1993__________________ L ______________ 13-37
1994 _________________ T ______________ 21-21
1995__________________ L ______________ 17-20
2005__________________ L _______________ 8-66
2011__________________ L ______________ 14-46

Doing a quick trend analysis does not look good. It will be nice to turn this around this year.

I really like the TCU list. GP is fuming over that one.

We haven't beaten TCU by more than 12pts in 20+ yrs, time to change that in my opinion.

Plus that would send GP over the edge

If you read those teams' message boards, it will be more of the same. BU will beat us by at least 20, aTm by at least 30 (they are in the big bad SEC after all), and TCU by about 15 (they are our super bowl after all - but, technically, TCU is at least a 30 points better team).

Apparently we care more about drinking and Mercedes and have sucked, and will suck, at football (most sports actually) forever.

Well, there you have it. Why bother playing these teams (or having a Div 1 program even) since they are so obviously better than us and we are so inferior across the board (after all, their offensive linemen are 2-3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier than our Dlinemen). Might as well just call the games now as losses and not even show up to avoid the embarrassment.

Yeah it takes a looong time to change things like preseason predictions from fans. On the West Virginia Big XII forums there was a thread "Pick how your team does this year in the Big XII" and every single poster had their team beating Baylor. Games like Baylor/SMU. Baylor/ISU, Tulsa/SMU seem to be ones where both sides just about all pick their team to win.

Honestly, it seems fair to me. We have so many question marks to deal with this season.
