Check with the TCU boosters club as to their location. Many visitor are located on the lawns of our physical education building beside Moody Coliseum. This location is on the visitor's side of Ford stadium.
I believe that spot is engulfed in construction...as is that entire side of campus. Join us on the BLVD, you will enjoy one of the best tailgates in the nation.
Pony ^, are you meaning that cash lot I was asking about is the one that's under construction? Just want to make sure so I have some idea when we get up there.
And I do appreciate all of the hospitality. But we want to try to set up our own tailgate. We'll definitely be walking around the Blvd, but have quite a few people that will be joining us so want to try to have a spot staked down for most of the day.

The cash lot is fine if we are thinking of the same one. I was talking about the grassy knoll spot near Dedman Rec center where opposing teams usually set up tailgates.

Is PupleOut refering to the parking garage located on SMU Blvd at Airline next to Moody or the surface lot on University across from Sorority row? The area where Navy tailgated on the south east corner of Moody is now a construction site for a new parking garage and the parking lot across the street from there south of Dedman Rec center is now the construction site for the new dorm complex. Tailgating spots, other than the Boulevard, west of central are begining to be scarce. There are lots east of Central for parking, and you can tailgate there if you want.
This link ( http://www.smumustangs.com/trads/parking.html ) will soon show parking area information although the information is not currently available. I believe you can tailgate on any of the lots using gas grills, but charcoal grills are only allowed on the Vard. Hope this helps.

When you say set up shop, I'm not sure what you mean. All the tailgate spots on the Vard are reserved spots paid for by individuals or organizations. Sure you can and should wander through there and meet folks, etc., but it would be hard to spend several hours doing that. I'm sure visitors would like to have a spot of their own to tailgate with friends too and that means setting up in a parking lot like they do at other schools. That can be fun too, but yes...they should definitely come over to the Vard for awhile too.

I may have a more expansive view of what the "Boulevard" is than you, but I've never paid for a spot to tailgate. Last game I set up shop right next to the cheerleaders, south of the Greek tents and just east of the Dedman College sign.

true true. But the blvd is expanding every year and will soon outgrow itself in my opinion. We're gonna have to expand at some point, even if you have to pay for it. I remember I couldn't move at the TCU 2 yrs ago it was so packed (which was awesome). I can't imagine this yr with Aggy and TCU

Still don't know what you mean by set up shop. Lay down a blanket? Drag in a grill and cooler? pitch a tent? You are clever to do what you are doing I suppose, but I can't imagine squeezing in a couple of thousand visiting team fans with their tailgate paraphernalia into the space that's available. Perhaps I don't have enough imagination.
