No, there is a play run EVERY snap. Pass plays are actually called and each receiver has options. The rushing plays are all called...do you think it's just hully-gully? It looks it, but it's not. The plays are called.

Technically, you are right. I guess that is why the QB has to run to the sidelines after each play. But I'd say it's more of a read and react offense. However you categorize it, it is horrible.

The other WR at Serra was Farmer who was ranked higher that both lee and woods out of high school and Paul Richardson who was colorados top receiver last year and is out this year with an injury. There is also another WR on that team who is at UCLA. We have seen him in garbage time and i don't think there is a high school QB who has had more top tier WR to throw to than Preston did in the history of high school football. June has shown zero problem with pulling a starter....the only time he has not it when he has no other options like last year when pardon was hurt and the only other option was Kaiser. Preston is Kaiser in my opinion.
OK, Preston has had the benefit of playing with some H.S AA type talent. I say that might be a good thing to be part of a culture of winning. He seems to be accurate, smart, and gets rid of the ball quickly. Seems like a good fit for a young O line. The slow developing pass plays are killing this team. I'd like to see him play more, but JJ is married to Gilbert. It looks like CP's only shot will be if GG gets clobbered waiting for receivers who don't get open. Hope CP doesn't head for E Washington. I don't think he's Kaiser.

I think you are underestimating GG and overstating CP. if either one threw on target to our receivers it would have been picked. They are always covered and stand like statues. Thank goodness GG over throws them it would have been so much worst plus anytime they get lucky that the opposing D plays Man and we do slant routes they end up dropping the ball now I'm not saying GG makes no mistakes but I'm saying nobody can succeed with the WRs (minus dieter). I hope they just make them run routes constantly and make them learn how to get space so they can catch those balls in stride. I think the reason you see GG throw missiles because he's frustrated with them dropping plus avoid ints.
