Go Mustangs, BEAT NAVY!!!!!! SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: 9 days and countingI'm right there with you, PK. August 31 can't get here soon enough.
PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Re: 9 days and countingNo kiddin'! And it'll be fun to see 'Dandy Don' Meredith and Roger (The Dodger) Staubach at mid-field before the game for the coin flip, too!
I was at the 1963 SMU v. Navy game in the Cotton Bowl. A great game! ------------------ "Winning ain't everything...but it's a lot more fun than the alternative!"
Re: 9 days and countingDon Meredith is going to be there? I thought Eric Dickerson was going to oversee the coinflip with Staubach. Have I been misinformed?

I think early on it was intended for Dickerson to do it, but Dandy Don is now the man. No I don't know the particulars. SMU's first president, Robert S.
