^^^YES! Thank you.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I don't care if it is Royal, Navy, or Yale blue, as long as it's blue. That being said, I like the Cotton Bowl team blue, if it were to come to a vote.

Red should be our "Alternate" look and I'd go with a crimson or deeper red than what we use now.

No. He said that (some) players like black jerseys and (some) recruits like black jerseys ... find them cool. Stop making it more than it was. It was different, and there were (some) players who liked it. JJ has credited many of his wins to players being fired up, including in games that we didn't wear black jerseys.

With six home games there is no reason not to wear each color once:

1. Royal Blue (to make the 80s-era fans happy)
2. Red (to make the Doak-era fans happy)
3. Black (to make June and the players happy)
4. Dark Blue (to make the Yale Blue fans happy)
5. Dark Red (to make the Harvard Red fans happy)
6. White (so we can have a late-season white out and let our opponents wear dark)

If we have a seventh home game we could wear gray since gray is the new black.

Maybe I should apply for that marketing job.

Good ideas! But make the white-out early in the season so the opponent can wear black/dark unis in the heat.
