welcome to Arkansas Mr. FordSaw that Gerald Ford's bank group has purchased Metropolitan Bank in Arkansas. I wish he and his group luck in rebuilding a once prospering local bank that has been in some difficulty in the past few years. I look forward to their entrance into Arkansas banking and competing with them in the market.

They won't be making many loans, just buy and cash cow their acquisitions
Re: welcome to Arkansas Mr. FordIt will be interesting to watch. They bought it very cheap but they are having to put in a lot of capital. Do not know how Mr. Ford operates, but if he wants someone to give him 2 good years I would be interested in talking to his people.

Re: welcome to Arkansas Mr. FordWell I have found the money for the IPF. Bankruptcy Court held an auction for Metropolitan Bank and Mr. Ford was outbid for purchase by a local Arkansas bank. Guess I will not be able to see him operate here but it does free up some money he was going to spend.

I worked with Jerry 20 years ago before he made the billions. He was a class act back then and I can't imagine him changing.
