actually there are a lot of "Hey I'm Mr SMU Ambassodor" type guys and self described "die hard fans" that are going around talking about boycotting the SMU football team, refusing to give money to the athletic department and refusing to renew season tickets if June Jones isn't fired. The rationale that SMU is just another business rather than your ala mater that deserve loyalty dooms any potential chance a private school like SMU has to compete at the highest level of college athletics. We have to overacheive as fans of a small, private school even to be in the argument because guess what-it's doesn't make financial sense for SMU.

It's a pretty universal response to advocate the boycott, a sense of frustration and lack of control. I've seen fans from many universities do that. It's not a wise move but I understand the source of the thing.

For some reason, Rayburn doesn't seem to want to. I don't know if he thinks he discovered some magical flaw in the ponyfans armor that allows him to see stuff he's not supposed to or what, but until he divulges what that is (since no one else seems to know) I'm inclined to call BS.

I'm part of the new wave of fans that wants 50k people coming to our games regularly in our future brand new stadium a la Baylor/TCU. If I am a troll for saying that...then (s.c.r.e.w.) you!

And I'm even more delusional because I want SMU to be the #1 Undergrad/Grad school in Texas!!! I am delusional because I want our team to be #1 in Texas football! I am delusional because I want the VALUE of my diploma value to go up Sky High to match the 250k investment I made in my SMU education!
