It's a pretty universal response to advocate the boycott, a sense of frustration and lack of control. I've seen fans from many universities do that. It's not a wise move but I understand the source of the thing.Stallion wrote:actually there are a lot of "Hey I'm Mr SMU Ambassodor" type guys and self described "die hard fans" that are going around talking about boycotting the SMU football team, refusing to give money to the athletic department and refusing to renew season tickets if June Jones isn't fired. The rationale that SMU is just another business rather than your ala mater that deserve loyalty dooms any potential chance a private school like SMU has to compete at the highest level of college athletics. We have to overacheive as fans of a small, private school even to be in the argument because guess what-it's doesn't make financial sense for SMU.

I'm not boycotting SMU Football...in fact I will buy season tickets next year as well. Not renewing season tickets never even crossed my mind!Rayburn wrote:It's a pretty universal response to advocate the boycott, a sense of frustration and lack of control. Rayburn- what were those numbers that matched up with FTHP and our beloved CK?
Can you please send those to the mods and kill two birds with one stone?

For some reason, Rayburn doesn't seem to want to. I don't know if he thinks he discovered some magical flaw in the ponyfans armor that allows him to see stuff he's not supposed to or what, but until he divulges what that is (since no one else seems to know) I'm inclined to call BS.CenTXpony wrote:Explain the evidence.

I second this. He posted those "numbers" in another post and when you quote him, it comes from the same image. Lol you're hilarious! Typical "hardcore" fan from a losing program...they all act the same...make it into some little cult between friends and not let anyone in. I'm part of the new wave of fans that wants 50k people coming to our games regularly in our future brand new stadium a la Baylor/TCU. If I am a troll for saying that...then (s.c.r.e.w.) you!Rayburn wrote:You can't boycott what you never supported.feelthehorsepower wrote:

And I'm even more delusional because I want SMU to be the #1 Undergrad/Grad school in Texas!!! I am delusional because I want our team to be #1 in Texas football! I am delusional because I want the VALUE of my diploma value to go up Sky High to match the 250k investment I made in my SMU education!

I'm not saying that I don't believe him I'd just like to know what those numbers mean without having to crack a riddle or figure it out on my own.blackoutpony wrote:
