Re: Cool thing to do at every home gameDid another thread get nuked?
Re: Cool thing to do at every home game
Well our friend Rayburn derailed this thread by starting to talk about a poster instead of the topic which was "HOW TO IMPROVE OUR [deleted] GAMEDAY PRESENTATION"
Re: Cool thing to do at every home gameSo you think it's a good idea to copy the Baylor line and do it every home game? You do know they do it one game a year right? It's freshman only too... We need our own ideas... otherwise we look even more amateur than we already are by copying others traditions. Why not do a punt pass kick competition at half time, or a series of small competitions n which student groups can compete to win a prize at the end of the season. Award groups with points for attendance and participation. Give a cash prize that can be used for student organizations frats, sororities, polo club, etc. Get a trophy made so they can display it at their house or wherever they meet call it the Peruna cup or whatever. Each week show the cup standings on the scoreboard between the third and fourth quarter. I think that could add some incentive for more students to attend games. Just a simple rough sketch idea... feel free to blast it if you wish, I won't cry about it. I can elaborate more as well
Re: Cool thing to do at every home game
This is what I wanted, a discussion on how to improve gameday. I didn't want us to blatantly copy the Baylor line but we could do something along the lines of having all our freshmen at the game, as part of the onboarding, etc. Maybe a shoutout when they're there in the student section. Is there a way that we could form some sort of a Council of Champions, of young mustang alumni to be in charge of coming up with ideas and starting new traditions? Maybe also have a section in the stadium that is loud and rowdy? Possibly as part of the red and blue army that SMUer and others are doing? Maybe expand the Mob for Football (depending on its success at moody) and have another Mob for alumni...
