If he sings, then let him try out for the Voice and maybe he will find a new calling. Coaching surely isn't it.

Touché. I don't care what he does as long as he is not doing it at SMU.

My call though, was SMU puts an extension out with lots of stipulations, that ultimately might convince him to transition out in an agreeable manner.
Everybody wins! ..hopefully

Only thing is we do not know if there are any stipulations in it.

I think some are already doing this imo.

Irrelevant. If the offer is real, it is a blatant message that we are nit going to try in football, and we are on the north east basketball school model.

I'm putting my tirade in time out until we get all of the details and we see what happens after the game on Saturday.

Who said there is anything "to sign?"

This is the same guy who publicly made it seem like he was going to be Maryland's next coach 48 hours before the Armed Forces Bowl when there was a snowball's chance it hell he'd actually get the job.

If he signs in blood, we are gravy.

JJ said he wants to coach 5-7 more years. no one is going to offer him a job at $2 million. Some are saying this is some type of ploy so he can refuse to sign and we are done with him. I don't see it. I think Hart is an empty suit and SMU football will remain exactly where it is now. The fact this is even reported in the newspaper is depressing. It's over for SMU.

Well, that is the essence of our conference.

When did he say he wanted to coach 5-7 more years?

We only have 1 school in the northeast after this year. Also the schools the AAC is adding are not basketball schools so no this is not the essence of the our conference. The AAC commissioner knows that football drives the ships.

ECU, UCF, USF are football schools.

UH, Cincy, SMU are pretty good at both.

Temple, Memphis and Uconn are BB schools

Tulane sucks at both.

We sucked at both until JJ, and now LB.

When JJ retires we need to replace him with a proven HC winner. No more hotshot Cavan or
Bennett coordinator types :!:
May the forth be with us.
