There is nothing that says ‘shower me with accolades’ quite like bringing a school from the depths of despair back to respectability all in one season. In Kyle Padron’s case, it would be more like half a season.
His real potential would be realized in the team’s first bowl game in 20 years against the Nevada Wolfpack, one of the toughest defenses in the nation. By time the game was over he would shred the Nevada defense for 460 yards and two touchdowns.
Go Ponies!! Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
Cool, too bad he doesn't have Sanders one more year or Terence. He sure did look great in the bowl, so crisp on his passes and routes. He'll be bigger and stronger this year.

I mentioned the possibility of me getting it a few times in the early '70s.
I understand you were 5th in the voting one year. However, I think Dickerson was in the running after you. To my knowledge, We haven't had a contender or even a consideration since Dickerson. I could be wrong and thus the question. When was the last time?
Padron is not only bigger and stronger but knows the offense pretty well this year. It will be interesting considering we have two good WRs coming back for their 3rd year in this offense and a lot of new WR talent along with several experienced reserves.

Pretty sure that outside of ponyfans.com postings, Dickerson would have been the last one with any consideration. And for some reason cannot get voted into the college football hall of fame.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
here's the voting. Dickerson unfortunately chose perhaps the greatest year ever with NFL Hall of Famers-Herschel Walker, Dickerson, Elway and Marino among others on the ballot for the Heisman and several more College Hall of Famers as well. What a Class.
