Support the Mustang Band...just saw this posted on SMU's YouTube page. Hadn't heard about this project, but I hope it comes to fruition.

Dang it. Is this going to make me have to like Craig James? Did SMU/the band have to pay an appearance fee? Or did he make a donation (larger than mine)?

No compensation. He did it for free and is also working to help raise money.

But I hope the band gets what it needs. Nice looking video, I sure wish the football team had something as nice.

Once you hear them you are hooked! I played against SMU a ways back and I would always get fired up when I heard their band playing, especially on those non-stop long marches downfield with James and Dickerson with a crescendo with each first down and all-out madness with each td! They are special and deserve a special home!

Unfortunately they are apparently not allowed to do that anymore - or so I've been told - because of either NCAA or C-USA rules.

The band leading the team down the field playing Peruna was certainly always a great spectacle.

Love marching bands.

Except for the fact that SMU's never really... marches. Hard to get psyched about a band that just stands in the middle of the field each performance.

See the feet moving up and down and the players moving aound on the field. That is marching.
