Storms

Post by LA_Mustang »

I love a nice rain storm but enough already! The one that just rolled through was crazy - a most impressive thunder and lightning show with A LOT of rain. I hope that wasn't too much for the Trinity....

The drainage all around campus has been significantly improved since 1995, when a bunch of buildings on campus were flooded - most notably the Cox School basement - took weeks to clean that all out and get it repaired. Haven't heard of or seen any significant flooding on campus due to the recent rains.

I would be shocked if last night's rain didn't cause at least some flooding in that area. We got a solid three inches here at the house just north of campus. Edit: Make that five inches. Holy smokes.

or flows with or without a flood. It surfaces again southwest of campus. I assume the piping was replaced after the 90s flood

Water standing in basement of Dallas Hall when I was over there this afternoon. Not deep, just puddles.

From heavy snow in March to all the rain and now a tropical depression, what a Spring it has been.
