Heading to Boston with the wife tomorrow to see two Pearl Jam shows at Fenway. Staying about 1/4 mike from the stadium. Any recommendations on bars or restaurants in the nearby locale?

Boston people love their bars and Fenway is surrounded by them. You'll have no problem finding a bar.

For food and a little more upscale dining, Back Bay area (it's a bit of a walk) is very nice. Indeed, I won my wife's heart by taking her to http://abeandlouies.com/ for our 2nd date.

Yeah, if the Sox are out of town - which I assume they are if there are concerts at Fenway - the bars around the park will be just awesome.

Jealous - not of the concerts, but of visiting Boston...

Oh man Abe & Louie's what a great restaurant!!!!! Not that bad of a walk from Fenway at all.

If you have time very few experiences in the US match heading to the North End for Italian.

I'm staying in Back Bay. I'm going to try Abe & Louie's tomorrow. Given that my name is The same as the HOF left fielder for the Sox, reservations shouldn't be a problem.

Brunch at Abe & Louie's tomorrow. In the North End for happy hour currently. One Pearl Jam show down, one to go tomorrow.

That would have been their first year, so no. Unless you're referring to their Lollapalooza show in September 1991 in Dallas. In which case, yes.

Saw that the set list for the Friday show had something like 32 songs on it.

Keep the suggestions coming please. We will be in the area next week to visit our son. I did a [deleted] poor job of finding a bar home in Boston and I will be there a lot over the next five years, so help a brotha out by recommending a good bar home. I want to be like Norm, but not at Cheers.

Pearl Jam show number two in the books. Now at American Joe's for a lobster roll.
