Possible candidates suggested by DMN's Lia Assimakopoulos:
Chris Del Conte (Texas)
Lia's take: absolute longshot, currently runs the most successful and lucrative athletic program in the country. He and Hartzell might be buddies, but it seems seriously unlikely.
Jeremiah Dickey (Boise State)

College athletics as we know it has not existed for years. NIL has just accelerated the transition to highly paid minor league professionalism.
Speaking of which: every year, a number of basketball and baseball players skip college to go directly to minor league baseball and the G League for hoops ...

A co-worker offered me $200 apiece for mine.
I thought about it, but not for long.
See you Saturday. Beat Duke!

ESPN says Barkley will sit out this weekend.

The stats weren't dominant, but I would have liked to see Jared Harrison-Hunte or Elijah Roberts get recognized, too. They are incredible players.

The ACC had 9 teams make the women's tournament, too ... and ALL 9 won their first-round games.
Some announcers have said winning the ACC is as difficult as winning the NCAA tournament. That can't be true, but the statement doesn't sound as idiotic as it initially did.

Let that statement sink in.
Imagine if we had said in July that within a few months, Duke basketball fans would ... know that SMU even exists. We would have been laughed at.
What an amazing time to be an SMU PonyFan.
