Re: 20,335

There is NO WAY there were 20k there on Saturday - are you freaking kidding me?!? The stadium was empty except for the home side. I've been to plenty of 20k games at Ford, and the Tulane game was not one.

Re: Old Band Guy Speaks (Warning - A Very Long Post)

If the band and Peruna don't go, but those other horses go, it will be really lame.

Re: espndallas.com

HOWEVER, if you go to the SMU clubhouse on espn.com, the newest video that comes up is a wrap-up of the college football action in Dallas.....

They cover UT, TCU, OU, and A&M's football games.....not a single mention of SMU - not even a score. WTF???

Re: 15,475

Not surprised by this number. For the thread on attendance estimates before the game, people on here were throwing out numbers like "26,500." If you were serious, then you need to put down the cool-aid and step away.

Brought 4 people to the law school alumni tailgate besides myself, including a ...

Re: The Myth that is Ole [deleted] Continues to be

Har Har, you made funny by making fun of Ole Miss' real name. You are so smart. Fool.

I'm an Ole Miss grad and I saw the season coming. We were ranked too high, but even I didn't see Snead completely falling apart this year. What's his deal? Did he go back to Stephenville this summer and drink some ...

Mascot, band, etc.

Ok, so I don't read the board like I used to during law school, but I drop by occasionally and this time I see all this talk about June Jones getting rid of Peruna for the new mustangs being donated (is it really a replacement? I thought it was just "in addition to"), and changing the band and the ...

CUSA has several teams in the top 100 (SMU, Rice, Tulsa, Tulane) the SEC west has several teams south of 100 (The Beloved Razorbacks, LSU, Miss State, Old Miss). Now check the football records and see if there is a correlation.

Yeah, some good rankings for CUSA. I can say though, that Ole Miss ...

Thanks for sharing this pertinent information/opinion. Hopefully, there will be a full investigation into this allegation. We wouldn't want anyone who ever did a "poor job" to escape unscathed - especially in this day and time. His resume needs to be checked and his interview records reviewed to ...

Decent article. Turner has done a great job at SMU. He was a much better fit for SMU than Ole Miss. During his time at Ole Miss, the university was stagnant and even in decline.

I find it interesting that the article cites his fundraising efforts there, when in fact, it was not until he left Ole ...

With apologies to Richard Sweet, we're Southwest Airlines - smaller and more personable. So why do we treat customers like American Airlines?

This is EXACTLY what happens at SMU, I had just never been able to put together a phrase like this!!! With the football stadium security, the "BULLY"VARD ...

Maybe this isn't well known, but Arkansas and Ole Miss hate each other bigtime anyway. They're huge rivals. This Nutt hire pours gallons of fuel on that baby.

Oh, I don't know about this. Arkansas is not a bigger rival to Ole Miss than any other SEC program. The Rebels' main rivals are MS State ...

^I agree...no one in TX will care about hiring Cutcliffe. He was generally a pretty nice guy, but boring when it came to coaching. I think they fired him from Ole Miss just b/c was never excited on the sidelines, and I think in my 4 years at Ole Miss, we went for it on 4th down maybe twice. He is ...

I gotta say, I have had this attitude about the Ponies since the season started with TTU. I have enjoyed not being angry when they lose - rather I have enjoyed being easy-going at the games and frankly, just shrugging it off when they lose. I still cheer and have ended up attending more games than I ...
