God bless, Doc... he was one of a kind. No one loved SMU more than he did.

Great stuff, guys. While I will be the first to rip the marketing group, this stuff is classic ponyfans.com. I know those people and they work very hard with little resources. Orsini did not clean house in the marketing department. Didn't some people leave for other jobs? The answer is yes. Any ...

Talk about a tough break for a kid. Bennett came to SMU because he knew he would go great with Mike Ford and the air attack. Instead, he ended up in a run first offense. But that kid did have some amazing speed.

It would be nice to get the flyboys back on the schedule... I love the wishbone attack the service academies trot out there.

Even I don't blame Copeland for his excitement after the game... his job is to "yak it up." That was a sweet win... let's not get negative here for something like that, mon...

Q coming to town

I see the Mustang Club is having an event at the Mavs game vs. the Clippers in support of the Q. Dread and Mrs. Dread plan to attend. Q was a classy kid and a great ambassador for SMU.

This blasting of Cedric Benson is ridiculous. He carried Texas to 10 wins and exemplifies what a running back is all about -- he's fast, powerful and let's his play do the talking.

Spend some time with this kid and you'll see that Doak would have LOVED him.

Kris Briggs

It was good to see Kris in the backfield for Green Bay on Monday night. He received extensive playing time in the third quarter and looked strong as the blocking back.

I talked to him yesterday and he's excited about his opportunity! Yah, mon. Go KB!

That's a great question -- one that I also had. I asked Grant Hawkins, who runs smumustangs.com, and he said that the e-mail database is maintained entirely by SMU. He said there is going to be some cool stuff that comes out of the Insider. I say bring it on, mon!
