SMU still earning respect

After a tough win against SMU, Oklahoma actually fell from 18 to 19 in the AP poll.

Some of those voters have to be racing to get a seat on the Deion/Colorado hype train...

Re: VIDEO: Lashlee, McGill, Bailey after SMU falls to OU

Like SMU, OU went hard into the transfer portal and really overhauled its defense. A lot of people up here were upset with the D last year, especially considering Venables' reputation as some kind of a defensive mastermind. So I don't know that I'm worried yet about our offense, because I think ...

Re: PonySportsDTX SMU NIL - Sign-up today!

Love the additions in the secondary, but both incoming safeties (McGill and Muhammad) are 5'9". I'd love to see Nwokobia re-emerge as the big bruiser back there

Of course, 34 on one list might be 12 on another and 71 on another, but still -- wow.

Yup. Anyone who thinks strength coaches are just meatheads who can move a lot of weight around need to watch this. Impressive.

Do they have any players worth going after? Hopefully Williams and Mays will point their top players toward the Hilltop

Re: Top QB Rooms in College Football

It's worth noting that each of the teams listed ahead of SMU has 3 or more top-tier QBs listed.

Makes you wonder how whoever starts the season as the Mustangs' backup would stack up against the backups those other schools. We all know the superlatives attached to Stone, and Mordecai put his name ...

Who do you want?

Re: A change in the near future?

The success of any change can be measured only after we know the replacement. If Jankovich leaves and gets replaced by someone like Doherty or Tubbs, we'll all look back at Jankovich like he's John Wooden.

I'm not ready to put him on Mount Rushmore, but we're 22-7. Could be a lot worse.
