AFB Student Tickets

Anyone know if students will still have free tickets to this game, just like a normal home game?

Re: SMU football stats through 11 games

We have 21,000+ average attendance this year. Wonder how that will compare to next year with our home schedule that doesn't included a known huge draw.

I think we'll be right about the same or slightly higher. We get Baylor and Navy at home. Baylor will likely have more than 30k and Navy should ...

Re: Army Officials: Army Dallas Bound

The Army game would be televised all over the world, to all the troops in various corners of the world. That's kinda cool in its own right.

Also, Army might have the coolest uniforms in the NCAA right now. Sharp.

Re: Some interesting data about the major confrences

I'm a long-term proponent of the way the English play soccer - if you suck consistenyl you get relegated, regardless of geography. If you win consistently you move up a division, also regardless of geography. England sucks, but the EPL makes sense. I wish our conferences were moe fluid and would ...

So, sorta.

Re: 2011: The Year of Fields and Line

You know, everyone gives Line credit for being a big, powerful back...like a hammer. Kid's got jukes too though. I remember one particular stutter-step in the ECU game that left a DB absolutely grasping for air on a 20-yard run. He's an F-150 with Ballerina feet, kinda reminds me of Jorvorskie Lane ...

Re: Report: Georgia to Face CUSA Champ in Liberty Bowl

I can't drink this kool-aid....sorry. 90% of our team would've given their left nut to have an offer from UGA, and would've signed it before the printer ink dried.

UGA would roll us. Eat our breakfast, lunch and dinner. But I'd be in the front row reminding them that my ACT score was triple the ...

C-USA Ranking/Bowl Question

If Houston loses to USM or Tulsa and we win out, we become #1 in C-USA West. We would then play in the C-USA championship.

If we lose in the 'ship, do we become the #2 C-USA seed for bowl picking purposes, or does actual W/L record then come back into play, leaving us at #5 or #6?

Re: Revisiting SMU-Tulane...Superdome/game thoughts

With the nickname "Jewlane" you'd think they would find clever ways to avoid playing on Saturdays. I believe that's their real problem.

Kidding. Sort of.

Re: Revisiting SMU-Tulane...Superdome/game thoughts

I think our band did well. They were fun. And I'm not just saying that because they turned toward our box and played directly at us in the second half...but that helped. Props.

It looked like Tulane was running all over us in the first half. When they were in the single-back double tight set they ...

Good job on your first start, Simon.

Re: Crawford to Return Punts

Crawford was returning punts last week before he had a back spasm.

What's our option if he gets hurt again? Back to DJ?

I think he went back to return a punt, which was inside the 10 and he did not attempt to catch.
I'm surprised Acker hasn't gotten another shot. If he was good enough to start ...
