I'm glad he has not yet burned his redshirt, so once he's healthy, we'll still have three more seasons of J.R. back there, shutting down receivers and returning kicks.

This is unfortunate. I'm sure he wanted to play this year, but it's never a bad thing when a freshman has a chance to spend a year watching and learning. Get better, A.J., and come back strong next year.

This guy has done everything asked of him since he got to SMU. He has switched positions, gotten stronger (a lot stronger), lost weight, added weight, special teams, etc. I'll take a team full of Spike Davises any day.
