Re: Drew Article

For what it's worth, DJ Cooper came out and denied that the story was true. Said that Drew and Pearl both called before he signed his LOI.

Re: Baylor Stadium Recieves Record Gift

Actually, TexasBear08, downtown Waco has flooded many, many times. That was the reason for the dams that were built in that area. If it's flooded since it's been very minor flooding that was not noteworthy. Everything I've heard is that the stadium will be equal to the elevation downtown so it's ...

Re: Baylor Stadium Recieves Record Gift

Since the point of a university is suppose to be academic, I am surprised they didn't require some money to also go to the very week endowment to improve the very weak academics of Baylor. Strange priorities.

1. They are also raising $100M for the endowment. I believe they are about 1/3 of the ...

Re: NCAA seedings ... WTF?

Yes, any of the No. 1 seeds should smoke the winner of that game. I'm just saying that if the committee determined that Duke is No. 3, why shouldn't they get to play the No. 62 seed?

Because ideally you'd like to keep the teams relatively close to home. Jacksonville is closer than OKC.

With all due respect, if you aren't hiring AAU coaches nowadays to act as your recruiters, then you are behind the game. They have the knowledge and contacts to know who the up and comers are before they begin making headlines. Knowing that can give you a big advantage when going up against other ...

Hmm...don't know how I missed that.

That being said, it's another W for the ponies.

No reason SMU shouldn't get to 6 wins this year. Absolutely no excuses if y'all don't get there.

That being said, I see 7 wins at minimum for the ponies and even as many as 9 wins. Sure, the schedule is kind ...

6-5 with the current schedule at absolute worse in my opinion. I can see you guys winning 8 next year easily, assuming the team doesn't take ...

Instead of playing TCU, A&M, and BU in nonconf, y'all get Texas Tech, Arkansas State, North Texas, and one TBA, which will probably be a Div. 1-AA. So, instead of starting 1-2 like this year, there should be a real shot at 3-1 to enter conference.

Throw in Rice, Tulane, Houston, Marshall, and ...

I can't claim to know how many Baylor fans will be in Ford Stadium on Saturday, but I do know that every one of my friends (including myself) were buying tickets through the SMU ticket office because of the 2 for 1 deal. If Baylor has sold 3000 tickets through the Baylor ticket office, then I can ...

College towns are really all relative to where you came from.

For instance, if you come from an area like Austin, Houston, Dallas, or Fort Worth and end up in Waco, College Station, or Lubbock for school then you might hate it. There are less options for everything from bars to shopping to ...

In 2002, the Big 12 had 9 bowl eligible teams (although Texas A&M declined a bowl bid with their 6-6 record):

Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Kansas State, Colorado, Iowa State, and Nebraska.

In 2003, the Big 12 had 8 bowl eligible teams:

Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech ...

My buddy got me and him tickets today for the SMU-Baylor game and the "closest" we were told we could get to the BU section was 224. They said everything between there and 228 had been given to the BU athletic dept or had already been sold. I tried to get down in 124, but was told that had been ...

Gambling is definitely proscribed by Baptists. I'm sure plenty of Baptists gamble. That doesn't make it right. Somehow they rationalize it. Ask any Baptist theologian/preacher. They will tell you that gambling is a sin. Geez. If you want to talk theology and Baptist hypocrisy, bring it. I love a ...

Gambling is against Christian theology? Not the last time I checked. Baptist, maybe, but a lot of people at Baylor are not baptist, just like a lot of people at SMU aren't necessarily methodist.

And the assassinations comment is just a patheticly low come back to his call on your dumb post.
