Mel Delaura FYI...
After witnessing the huge turn around at UH spear headed by none other than June Jones i got to see a lot of things. Mels program is notorious for getting our players injured... EVERY SEASON we'd have a dozen or so players with shoulder problems and hammy problems, some even had to quit because of ...

SMU, Houston, and UTEP to the WAC???
Hmm, could things be heating up again? Could there be a new formed WAC with BYU and TEXAS teams?
m
That the Cougars would join a six-team WAC (Boise jumped to the MWC in June, beginning in 2011) seems implausible, but reports have surfaced that the WAC and/or BYU have approached Houston, UTEP ...

Re: Starting WRs
I like Beasely - glad he is a mustang and think he will have a great year. I also think he has a zero chance of making the NFL - it is just not in the cards for him - not fast or tall enough for the League - plenty so for CUSA - but not NFL.

Re: Life after June Jones?
dont be too quick to assume that you can just plug in a new HC and continue exactly where you left off... How many HCs did you guys have to go through, since the DP, to get to where you are now.... the reason JJ turns losing programs into winners is because he makes average players play like 4 and 5 ...

Life after June Jones?
If at this point in time JJ decided to take his offensive knowledge elsewhere would SMU be able to survive and continue to progress and then eventually transgress what has already been put in place?
I ask this because it seems a bunch of Hawaii fans can't seem to be able to let JJ go, and moving ...

Re: Hawaiian Flair
All this proves is that JJ doesn't really understand what drives conference realignment.
The MWC wouldn't give a rat's tail about baseball and track if we could deliver the Dallas TV market. And if you don't understand by now why TCU doesn't appeal to the Big 12...

well if acker can contribute on offense that is where he will play... JJ is HC and he wont hesitate to put a guy on offense if he thinks he can contribute... hes turned many defensive linemen into big bull dozing RBs...

Re: JJ gone in 6 years?
naw JJ wouldnt have left hawaii for 1.2... thats the same amount the UH AD offered him, but he chose SMU because of the way the AD was run and the fact that they threw him 2 million and offered him support that he wouldnt have received at UH... after he left then they gave the money up and the ...

JJ gone in 6 years?
JJ has 6 years left on his contract and one can only guess what he'll do after it is up. Well, this came from the Hawaii message board... If he left after those 6 years and he had winning seasons and bowl game appearances winning more than losing would you guys hold it against him if he indeed did ...
